I wrote Beauty Queen in 2005 under entirely different circumstances but, upon the nomination of Sarah Palin, realized that it had ominous undertones that applied directly to the political climate we are currently facing. I contacted a friend to ask what we could do - view the results on YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace.
